Nigerian actress Wumi Toriola has revealed that she is open to the idea of becoming a second wife.
The single mother of one expressed her willingness to embrace polygamy, stating that she would “gladly become a second wife because I’m after-one now.”
Toriola shared her perspective in a recent interview with media personality Debbie Shokoya.
In the interview, the actress mentioned that her mindset about being a second or third wife has changed over time.
She emphasized that finding happiness is the key factor, saying, “If I see an after-one like me too or a widower, I will marry him. What matters is my happiness.”
Toriola dispelled the notion that female celebrities only seek relationships with wealthy men, asserting that most actresses work hard for their money.
She highlighted that this misconception often discourages men from approaching female celebrities, assuming they are only interested in affluent partners.
Wumi Toriola, who got married in 2018 and welcomed her first child in the following year, announced in 2023 that her marriage of four years had come to an end.
Despite the challenges, Toriola remains open to new possibilities in her pursuit of happiness.
