British rapper, Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., widely known as Stormzy, made a return to social media to voice his support for Palestine amidst the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The artist, who had been absent from social platforms for several weeks, shared his thoughts with fans and followers.
Stormzy emphasized his stance against injustice, stating that he would always stand with the oppressed whenever he perceives an injustice in the world. He made a firm declaration of his commitment to this principle. While addressing his followers on his verified Instagram account, he wrote:
“I hope everyone is good, some fleeting thoughts;
‘In the future, if there is ever a clear injustice in the world, no matter how big or small, 100 times out of 100, I will be on the side of the oppressed. Unequivocally. As I always have been. Social media is a brilliant way to stand up for what is right, There are also a whole load of other ways to do this.
‘I’m currently learning how to play Patel, Golf and Chess. I wanna learn horse riding too so I can buy a black horse like the one from the Lloyds TS8 advert and call it Skeng.
‘I hate social media. It all makes me very sick if I’m honest but I love you guys a lot, and it is nice to be present and connect to you via it.
‘Odumodublvck is the coldest bruddah in the world right now.'”
Stormzy expressed his appreciation for his fans and promised to return to social media soon, with hopes of sharing new music updates.
