Nigerian music sensation Rema has achieved a groundbreaking feat as the youngest African artist to sell out the iconic O2 Arena at the age of 23.
The multi-platinum-selling artist, known for his international success, has added another milestone to his impressive career by headlining the renowned venue at such a young age.
In anticipation of the historic event, Rema announced a highly anticipated show at the 20,000-seated capacity O2 Arena in London back in May.
The concert, scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 2023, will showcase Rema’s prowess in support of his debut studio album, ‘Rave & Roses.’
The 22-track album boasts collaborations with globally acclaimed artists such as 6lack, Chris Brown, AJ Tracey, Yseult, and Selena Gomez. ‘
Rave & Roses’ has etched its name in history as the first African album to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify, with its global hit single ‘Calm Down’ making waves.
Rema’s collaboration with Selena Gomez on ‘Calm Down’ reached significant milestones, earning him a Guinness World Record when it topped the inaugural MENA chart of Middle Eastern and North African Countries.
The song peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, spending over a year on the chart and achieving platinum status in various countries, including the US, UK, France, Spain, and Switzerland.
