A video currently circulating on social media features Nigerian singer Portable making serious allegations against the late singer Mohbad, accusing him of betrayal that ultimately had fatal consequences.
In his statements, Portable asserted that Mohbad was an immensely talented musician who had been discovered and nurtured by Naira Marley’s Marlian Records.
However, Mohbad’s decision to sever ties with the label that had propelled his career to new heights was seen as a betrayal.
According to Portable, Mohbad had accused the record label of failing to provide the love and support he anticipated, which led to his sudden departure.
What followed was a distressing turn of events, as Mohbad reportedly associated himself with Naira Marley’s rivals, who, as per Portable’s claims, conspired to orchestrate his murder in a bid to implicate Naira Marley.
Portable underscored the irony that artists like Naira Marley invest their resources and mentorship in nurturing young talents, only to face betrayal in return.
He emphasized that Naira Marley’ support for Mohbad had been driven by a genuine and selfless intention, making the alleged betrayal by Mohbad all the more bewildering and painful.
