Nigerian rapper Oladips has shared a “proof of life” video on his Instagram page, just days after reports circulated of his untimely demise.
On November 15, Oladips’ management had announced his passing, revealing that the artist had been grappling with personal struggles for over two years.
The news of his alleged death shocked fans and industry colleagues alike. Shortly thereafter, Oladips’ management released a 17-track album titled ‘Superhero Adugbo’ as a posthumous tribute.
However, suspicions arose when Wavy, a longtime friend of Oladips, posted a video featuring the rapper, asserting that he was alive.
Wavy went on to claim that Oladips had orchestrated his death hoax and would resurface online if his album achieved top positions on music charts.
On Thursday, the Instagram video in question was shared, depicting Oladips enjoying a song from his latest album, with his mother dancing in the background. The caption reads, “orisa bi iya osi, proof of life.”
NAIJASHOWBIZ revealed that the post announcing Oladips’ death has been removed from his Instagram page.
The motives behind the rapper’s death hoax remain unclear, leaving fans and the public puzzled by this unexpected turn of events.
