The Lagos State Police Command released singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Balogun Samson, known as Sam Larry, on Friday after both individuals fulfilled their bail conditions.
This information was conveyed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police Benjamin Hundeyin, in a brief statement, confirming, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”
The release followed the fulfillment of bail conditions granted by a Lagos State Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 6.
The court had granted the duo bail in the sum of N20 million, with three responsible sureties.
As part of the bail terms, the defendants were required to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
The arrests were made in connection with an investigation into the death of Mohbad, following the circulation of online videos depicting assaults against the late singer.
