Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo, popularly known as KOK, has cautioned Nigerian youths against engaging in ritual killings to attain wealth.
Speaking at Ikenga Onlineās November 2023 Town Hall Meeting, Kanayo emphasized that there is no proven link between human sacrifices and financial success.
The veteran actor, recognized for his portrayals of ritualistic characters in movies, urged young people to focus on hard work instead.
Addressing the prevalence of ritual killings, Kanayo dismissed the notion that individuals could gain wealth by committing heinous acts.
He cited the evolving nature of fraudulent activities, highlighting the shift from traditional scams to modern practices like “Yahoo Promax,” which falsely involves killing for financial gain.
Kanayo emphasized that genuine wealth is achieved through diligence and dedication to hard work.
Reflecting on his personal success, he shared that he built his house without resorting to sacrifices, recounting how a business deal with Globacom, led by Mike Adenuga, provided him with the necessary funds.
Kanayo humorously described his decision to forgo purchasing a luxury car as his own “sacrifice” to complete his home.
