Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has shed light on his decision to remain tight-lipped about his former relationship with Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari during a recent interview.
In a recent interview, when asked about Nadia Buari, Jim Iyke responded with “Who is that?,” attempting to steer clear of the subject.
However, in a subsequent interview, he elaborated on his response, explaining that he chose not to address the question as doing so would have been detrimental to both himself and Nadia’s current partner.
Jim Iyke emphasized that delving into explicit details about past relationships would be a disrespectful gesture toward their current partners.
He stated, “The understanding of that segment is that when asked a difficult question and you refuse to answer, you sip tea. Even if alcohol was there at that point, I would take it. If I answer this question anyway, it will be a lose-lose.”
He went on to explain, “If I were to glorify these conversations and say certain things about them, it would be to the detriment of the person I am with and also of the person she is with.
Which husband wants to hear about an ex talking sexually explicitly with the person he is with, and people do not understand that this was an act of respect?”
Jim Iyke stressed that he did not want to offend a married woman with four children and believed it was best to leave the past in the past. He reiterated the importance of respecting both his current partner and Nadia Buari’s husband.
Recently, Jim Iyke also shared insights into why his marriage to Dana Kinduryte, a Lithuanian-American lawyer, did not last.
His decision to withhold sensitive information about his past relationships demonstrates his commitment to maintaining respect and privacy in his current and past relationships.
