Former security personnel, known as the Happie Boys, have re-entered Nigeria. Their return took place on the evening of Monday, October 30, 2023, after their residence permit in Cyprus was revoked.
The Happie Boys had been apprehended by Cypriot law enforcement a few weeks ago and held in an undisclosed detention facility. Their detention lasted over four weeks until their eventual deportation.
Media personality Bolanle Cole reported that Kelechi and Amakor, known as the Happie Boys, arrived in Nigeria on Monday night at the Nnamdi Azikwe airport in Abuja and are presently accommodated at a hotel in Utako.
