Rapper Diddy and his ex-girlfriend Cassie have reached a resolution in the $30 million lawsuit, leading to the official dismissal of the case by the court on Monday, November 20, 2023.
Documents obtained by TMZ indicate that the dismissal is in accordance with an agreement between the parties, stating, “Pursuant to an agreement between the parties, Plaintiff hereby dismisses this action, with prejudice and without costs or fees to either party.”
The settlement was reached within 24 hours of the initial court filing, as both Diddy and Cassie opted to resolve the matter outside of court.
Cassie expressed her decision to settle amicably, thanking her family, fans, and lawyers for their support, while Diddy’s statement conveyed well wishes for Cassie and her family.
The lawsuit, filed on November 16, 2023, detailed alleged abuse suffered by Cassie over ten years in her on-and-off relationship with Diddy, including accusations of rape in 2018, the year their relationship ended.
The legal developments stirred public interest and discussions on social media, with some expressing disappointment at the quick settlement, leading to speculations about guilt.
Diddy’s attorney, however, emphasized that the rapper maintains his innocence against Cassie’s claims.
