In the early 2010s, Dammy Krane, a Nigerian artist, experienced significant success as he collaborated with well-known superstars such as 2Face, Davido, and Shatta Wale, among others.
However, since 2022, Dammy Krane has been publicly addressing Nigerian megastar Davido over alleged outstanding payments owed to him for his participation in Davido’s single ‘Pere.’
Dammy Krane took to social media, specifically Twitter, to express his grievances, stating that he had attempted to contact Davido regarding the split sheet and unpaid amounts, but received no response.
This led to his tweet in which he called out Davido for the payments.
In response, Davido, a multi-award-winning artist, labeled Dammy Krane as ungrateful and fired back with his own claims.
In a post on Twitter dated October 27, 2023, Davido revealed that Dammy Krane had not paid him for the three verses he provided, nor had he compensated him for his production work on ‘Pooner.’
He also criticized Dammy Krane for not covering food and accommodation expenses when he lived in Davido’s Atlanta house.
This exchange came after Dammy Krane posted a message on Twitter, demanding payment from Davido for his services and stating that it was his rightful due.
