Popular singer Charles Chibuezechukwu, also known as Crayon, disclosed that he battled addiction to illicit substances for an extended period.
The ‘Ngozi’ crooner shared that he successfully conquered his addiction after receiving advice from Babyfresh, the Mavin Records producer and CEO of Blowtime Imprint, who discovered his talent.
Crayon emphasized that despite his fame and financial success, he has abandoned the use of any illicit substances.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “Bro I used to do drugs back in the days in Ojo, name it!!! Trams? My highest na 700 milligram! Skushi’s from ele! 2 big ragolis me and my guys!! Emzolyn I dey pop raw 2 bottles !!! Ref!!! But I no do ice shaaa!! And I no smoke igbo sha me I get sense!!”
He went on to express gratitude to Babyfresh for lifting him from challenging circumstances, stating, “Babyfresh picked me up from the slums.
He said you gats stop all those things I did!! All glory to God! I did!! Now I don’t smoke or do those things anymore!!! Upon all the money wey I get!! I’m chilled!!” Crayon’s revelation sheds light on his journey to sobriety and the positive impact of mentorship on his life.
