Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda is still grappling with the grief over the loss of his close friend, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
He shared his sorrow on his Instagram story, revealing that he has been turning to alcohol to cope with the pain. Shmurda expressed his difficulty in finding solace and regaining happiness after the loss.
In his emotional post, he said, “You told me to stop it. I have been trying. I just hope you’re okay where you are, cos I have not been happy for days. I have been drinking and going back and forth on how to move on.”
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, leaving behind his wife, Wunmi, and their infant son, Liam.
Bella Shmurda vowed to step in and take care of Mohbad’s child, ensuring that the boy never forgets who his father was.
Bella Shmurda, who welcomed his own baby boy in July 2023, expressed his commitment to sharing his love between both children.
He stated, “It’s sad Abiola Imole never got to know you. But be rest assured that I will tell your story. And I will definitely take care of our fruit.
I’m passing all the love to our sons. Lol. Lowkey, I’m Bella and Sons Inc.” This heartfelt message reflects the pain and determination Bella Shmurda is experiencing in the wake of his friend’s untimely passing.
