Nigerian songstress Ayra Starr, currently on her ’21: World Tour,’ recently dazzled the audience with a high-energy performance in Stockholm, Sweden, last Saturday.
During her show, she donned a pink dress that revealed her pants, captivating the enthusiastic concertgoers with her hit songs.
Following the concert, the ‘Sability’ artist took to social media to express her gratitude to the fans who attended and simultaneously addressed the critics who had questioned her outfit choice.
She remarked that those criticizing her attire were not her intended audience, stating, “Stockholm has set the bar so high !!!! Thank you for giving me all the energy I needed !! See you next year.”
In response to her tweet, one user on the platform made a mockery of her attire, likening it to “a baby’s wear.” Ayra Starr, however, did not take the comment lightly and swiftly retorted.
Another user referred to the singer as a “pretty girl, empty head.” In her response, Ayra subtly insinuated that she wouldn’t have “earned a degree at 18” if her head were truly empty.
This incident is not the first time Ayra Starr has faced criticism for her choice of revealing outfits during her concerts.
In November 2022, she received social media backlash for her dress at a Lagos concert, and in June, she faced similar criticism for her skimpy attire during a concert in Athens, Greece.
The artist’s confidence and talent continue to be a focal point of her career, despite the occasional comments on her wardrobe choices.
