Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) 200-level student, Subair Enitan, has initiated a remarkable endeavor—a 50-hour hand wash-a-thon with the aim of securing a new Guinness World Record (GWR).
Commencing the attempt on Friday, November 24, at the Sub Car Park within the university campus, Enitan, a Linguistics and African Languages student, is determined to clinch the title for the longest hand-washing marathon.
Expressing her motivation for the wash-a-thon, Enitan attributed her decision to the lessons life has taught her and her innate selflessness.
She conveyed confidence in achieving the 50-hour goal and emerging as the titleholder, stating, “I am confident that I will reach the set goal of 50 hours of hand wash, and by God’s grace, I will emerge victorious.”
Acknowledging the support received from colleagues and her parents, Enitan urged Nigerians to rally behind her as she works towards completing this challenging task.
The hand wash-a-thon is not only a personal pursuit for Enitan but also a noteworthy attempt to make a mark in the Guinness World Records.
